Task 2 - Packaging & Promotion

CMYK

Entry

This particular packaging uses CMYK printing to create unique colour combinations which cannot be achieved through any other colour printing. The vivid colour scheme works effectively against the white card stock. The overall aesthetic is clean and concise yet striking, also.

Altitude Music

The minimal photography on these CD cases and covers works effectively against the one colour, tonal backgrounds. The composition and form is consistent throughout and the colour scheme is reflected in both the packaging and the content.

Fresh Colour Coffee (Self promotion)

This unique self promotion by Benjamin Dooling uses a 2 colour screen print on stand up pouches containing fresh coffee beans. The type is altered for a specific target audience but focuses on his key skills and attributes. The design allows for a placement of a traditional date stamp giving a custom and authentic aesthetic to every design.

Monochrome

Shine

The black and white colour scheme is clean, professional and is reflected in the choice of type and composition. The white 'tip in' booklet wrapped around the black stock reinforces the monochrome colour scheme by adding contrast and an effective aesthetic.

The Kitchen Films

The cover of the DVD has been stripped to its bare form - simply using varied type weights and sizes and no imagery. The inside, however, and the DVD's themselves contain minimal icon illustrations.

LG Design Europe

This book showcases the work of LG Design Studio over the past 2 years and due to its confidentiality (of only being handed out to the senior members of the team) the designers developed and styled the book using the concept of a secret dossier with subtle technical details throughout. To convey the secrecy and exclusivity of the work each book was delivered in individually number-stamped envelopes.
